  • I was not completely happy with where I use to get my haircut, so I decided to give this Great Clips a try. When I first went in, one of the stylists came to sign me in, and to my surprise, asked for my phone number. And since I was new to their system, she then asked for my name and address, too. I'm used to just putting my name down on a sign-in sheet, so this request for personal info took me off guard. I noticed that everyone who came in was asked for their phone number as a "client ID" in their computer system. The stylist later explained that this information is used to record styling preferences for patrons, though I'm guessing it's used for marketing as well. You can probably refuse to give your address. She informed me that the wait would be about 25 minutes since there were only 2 stylists on duty and there were two people ahead of me in line, though I only waited about 10 minutes. The stylist was very friendly and professional, and did a nice cut and clean-up. The clean-up is important to me because I usually end up with a shoulder full of hair clippings at the other place. I'll be returning for my next haircut. I use the Great Clips app on my smartphone to see the wait time before I go and to check-in. What this means is that when I arrive, I skip in front of those who are waiting that didn't check in online. This makes it easier for me to plan ahead.
