I'll preface this by letting you know that I've never given a one-star review before. I'll be honest, maybe I should have checked the hours of the store online before I went in, but I happened to be at another store in the same parking lot. I needed to buy protein bars and cookies and was prepared to spend $$$ for them. I looked across the parking lot and saw their open sign flashing, so I decided to go there instead. There weren't any store hours posted anywhere on the store front. So I walked up to the door, opened it, and went inside. As I'm browsing the section I need, I hear a voice yell at me from the back "oh we're closed!" I look up and found a sales rep staring back at me from behind the counter. I apologized that I didn't know that since the open sign was still on. And well... the door was open? He didn't reply. Just kept staring. Needless to say, I took my hard earned money elsewhere. I understand retail. I've worked in retail. I understand end of day closing procedures, but I understand sales and the overall bottom line better. And when you rely on people buying your products to survive as a business, when someone walks in ready to buy your products, you let them. Especially if closing time is 8:00 pm and I walk in a minute later because your door is open and your open sign is on.
