  • I cannot recommend this business at all. If you have the option to go elsewhere, do so. They have been polite, but horrible to do business with and they lie. Their manner of doing business is unacceptable. My father is tall, therefore we knew it would be more complicated to get the kind of walker his doctor prescribed, but we knew they existed. Actually, not that complicated, 4 wheels and a seat and taller than average. It was critical that It have a seat so he could stop and rest. In addition, my father is deaf so he needs to be able to sit down and free up his hands to communicate. The doctor ordered the walker on May 8th and ordered it "stat" as Dad is a fall risk. After many, many phone calls to Preferred from me, the doctor's office and Dad's visiting nurse, a walker showed up at his home on June 19th. The guy shoved it in the door, didn't unfold it, had Dad sign a paper and took off. It was your basic 2 wheel gray walker with no seat. I called Preferred and was told that was all they stocked for tall people. Okay, fine, order the correct one. I was told they can't do that. I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was told none are available. I asked that one call me, it never happened. Previously more than one person told me they didn't return my phone calls because they don't have my number. I know they do because they've returned calls before, it was on the documents faxed by the doctor's office and I've given it to them repeatedly. They told me they delayed the prescription because they didn't know how tall Dad is. It's on the prescription faxed to them and in his chart notes. I have copies of these documents. They lied about not having his date of birth, insurance information and weight. Each time I talked with them, almost daily, they assured me they had everything they needed and the walker was on the way. No walker would show up and it was always one more thing when I called and hunted down someone to talk to. I have spent nearly an hour a day trying to get these people to do their job from March 8th through June 19th. This company filled an actual prescription with the wrong product and didn't bother to notify anyone of what they were doing. If they were a pharmacy, they would be in trouble with the state licensing agency. This is unacceptable.
