rev:text	This is an absolutely insane experience. I didn't say golf tournament on purpose. Over the last 5-7 years it has EXPLODED into quite the experience. Each year breaks new attendance records, close to 200-220K+ people on Friday and Saturday. Wednesday is the Pro-Am day and Thursday begins the actually Open. Saturday is notorious for the craziest party drunk day for all ages (21+ of course). They have upped General Admission tickets on F/Sat to $50 and VIP tickets on the resale (Craigslist) can be upwards of $350 or more last I heard. To be gifted a VIP tent ticket is the ultimate blessing, 10 drink tickets, secluded area, seating, shade, free food and private trailer bathrooms - oh and no long lines! If you actually want to watch golfers golf, go early, go during the week or even better on Sunday. The Open always scheduled for the same weekend as Super Bowl so Sunday is usually extremely quiet.
