| - In regards to the owner's response below, I never asked her front desk staff to call and move the 7:15 pm appointment -- they offered to do so. As mentioned before, this owner is extremely rude and inflexible. Enter at your own risk.

I haven't written a Yelp review in 5 years but felt it was important to document my experience here. I'll try to keep this as concise as possible:
To start, the spray tan at this salon is mediocre at best. It's got an orange tint and sticks to the palms of your hands no matter how careful you are not to touch your skin afterwards. However, I have come here multiple times because it's in a convenient location for me. In addition, Nadene, the owner and airbrusher, works very fast, which I appreciate.
My bridal shower is on Sunday and I'm flying out of town for it tomorrow. I work full-time and teach fitness classes so my spray tan time window is minuscule. I'm very pale and love to get spray tanned when I know I'll be wearing a dress. It really boosts my confidence and as silly as it may seem, it's important to me.
Last week, I booked a spray tan appointment for 7:30 pm today, but was told by my boss last minute at 5 pm that I'd have to go back on site for work at 8 pm. Since I teach indoor cycling from 6 pm to 7 pm, I needed to get sprayed at 7:15 pm to even have a prayer of making it back to work in time.
I raced over to the salon after my class was over and arrived at 7:11 pm. I asked Nadene if there was any way she could take me at 7:15 pm instead of 7:30 pm and she said no, her 7:15 pm had just pulled up and because I was past the cancellation window I would lose my spray tan credit that I had pre-payed for. She was dismissive and rude.
As the daughter of a successful small business owner, I was surprised they weren't more accommodating. I've been here more than 6 times, have never tried to cancel before and have always used up my tans before their expiration. I understand that there are policies, but when someone is CLEARLY doing everything they can to keep their appointment and has been a good customer in the past, you would think they would try to make some sort of accommodation, such as rebooking the credit or offering the use of the spray tan booth.
To make matters worse, I saw the girl who had the 7:15 pm appointment sitting in her car scrolling through her phone. She was clearly in NO rush to get to her appointment. I went outside and tapped on her car window and very kindly explained my situation and asked if she wouldn't mind switching her 7:15 pm for my 7:30 pm. She was more than happy to help a girl out! She was like "Of course!"
All of a sudden, Nadene opened the salon door and yelled at me like I had committed a crime, telling me I shouldn't talk to her clients. I can understand where she is coming from but she didn't hear the exchange, how polite it was, and how nonchalant the girl was about switching. She made me feel like I had just beaten the girl up instead of merely asking here to switch a 15 minute appointment time slot.
Shame on Nadene and her husband, the co-owner, who is equally dismissive and rude. I won't be spending any more of my hard earned money on a product I didn't even love in the first place and I hope you won't either.
