  • Outstanding. Absolutely one of the nicest, cleanest and friendliest hotels we've ever stayed in. This very reasonably priced extended stay style hotel is top notch. We stay in several hotels throughout the year, a lot of them very good hotels- but rarely leave a review one way or the other as no one necessarily stands out to the extreme, be it good or bad. This hotel deserves recognition. The staff: From the front desk and housekeeping to sweet Alberto who sets out the beautiful breakfast display, all of the staff members I've spoken to have all been genuinely friendly. -- The type of friendly that I feel as though they love their job and enjoy working for this particular establishment... a definite rarity these days. Check In: Upon check-in at 12pm, we were greeted with pleasant regards and the young lady at the front desk made it seem as though our near-three-hour-early arrival was a total nonissue. She was happy to carry a sweet conversation as she checked us in and was most delightful. The process was speedy and held zero complication. The Room: When we stepped into our room, 201, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was tastefully decorated (another rarity in chain hotels) and impeccably clean! I would say this is in the "Top 3 cleanest hotels" I've ever stayed in and the top of those in it's particular price range. The linens were soft and bright stark white without the overpowering bleach smell radiating from them. The bed firm but comfortable, plush pillows. The couch in the living area was very comfortable, great lighting in the den area. The desk was very nice as was the eating area. The kitchen was functionally fantastic- more on this later. Another nice touch was the jar of tasty complimentary hard candy on the coffee table. Lots of closet and storage space. Standard amenities of coffee, tea, stirrers, sugar packets, salt and pepper packets, Kleenex, etc. The Bathroom: The bathroom came equipped with three plush fresh towels and their toilet tissue was better quality as well. Paul Mitchell products and great makeup wipes for freshening up. Bathroom also held both blow dryer and other toiletries in the very nice cabinets below. Cabinets are always a plus to me. I like being able to put my things away as opposed to strewn all over the counter. The Kitchen: The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. In addition to the microwave, the room came equipped with two stove top burners, full sized refrigerator with ice maker, full sized Mr. Coffee coffee pot, dishwasher, dispose-all, a toaster, "microwave bacon" tray, two storage containers, a portable covered sectioned plate for left-overs, colander, cutting board, 3 sharp knives of various sizing. 4 large to small Pots and Pans (not nonstick), 4 each of plates, bowls, coffee cups, drinking glasses, stemware, silverware, wine corker, can opener, peeler, spatulas and serving/stirring spoons, pot holders, measuring spoons and measuring cup. There were also kitchen towels and dish soaps and plenty of pantry, cabinet and counter space. All utensils have been taken care of very well. The Breakfast: The absolute BEST "complimentary" Breakfast I've ever had in any hotel. Along with the scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, bagel, coffee cake, croissant, oatmeal and cereal selections- there was also a beautiful fruit and cheese display consisting of grapes, strawberries, the sweetest pineapple, with Brie and Havarti cheeses, Andouille, hard boiled eggs, and even both a waffle and breakfast burrito station. The coffee station was great, too. They serve the best coffee and have both soy and real cream along with flavored non-dairy creamers, cinnamon, and sugar in the raw. Alberto keeps everything looking both clean and beautiful. The thoughtful spacing in his display cases and other food displays tells me he takes great pride in what he does. He is an amazingly sweet man whose doing a fantastic job for this establishment. His attention to detail and curtesy to his hotel patrons should not go unnoticed. Thank you, Alberto!! Laundry: I will be doing laundry later this week and have scoped out the laundry room already. $4.00 to run a full load ($2/wash,$2/dry) All fairly large, new front loaders. Clean facilities. I'm not certain how much detergent runs but I'm sure that's fairly standard as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would love to stay again should we ever be in the Peoria area. Thanks so much for such an enjoyable stay!!
