| - Ok, WOW the name of this restaurant is an understatement. I came into this place with high expectations after reading the crazy high yelp reviews. I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time and finally made it here 2 years later. Well, the first time I came here on a Sat night they told us a 2 hour wait. My family and I were pretty hungry and decided it wasn't worth the wait. So a few weeks later we came back on a thursday, intrigued by how popular it was, and got to choose our table.
I'm not sure if I would recommend coming here hungry or just peckish. The food is so good and the portions are so small that I could easily eat everything on the menu. Unfortunately, each dish is around $10-14 and our server recommended 2-3 dishes per person. If the food was less expensive I would definitely come here more often, but for now, i'll stick to special occasions.
It is a tapas-style restaurant, so each person gets their own small plate and the dishes are shared amongst everyone. I'm sort of vegetarian (more like pescatarian) but I tried a little of the pork belly and the korean beef (2 of the most popular dishes) and they were both really really delicious. Super flavorful sauces and textures. The falafel, and the other vegetable dishes are probably the best value and also are not lacking in flavor at all. The scallops were perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend ordering a few pasta dishes because they are the most substantial/filling.
Not only does this place have good food, but fantastic service as well. Our server was genuinely friendly and offered lots of tips on what to order since it was our first time. Didn't get to try dessert, which is my only regret.
