| - If your plan is to get out-of-doors and explore Arizona, and, while doing so, to only really stay somewhere to get some sleep and maybe a little poolside downtime, 3 Palms will be able to help you with that.
But 3 Palms is not a resort, by any means, nor is it truly a hotel. It's a nice motel--one that, although overshadowed by a number of much more luxurious resorts in the Scottsdale area, has its fingers crossed that by offering reasonable rates, you'll lower your expectations a bit and give it a try. I mean, 3 Palms has its pluses: air conditioned rooms, very comfortable beds, a great tv, and free Wi-Fi. However, in exchange, quarters are tight, the pool is simple, and the amenities are general and understandably unimpressive.
A romantic getaway, 3 Palms is not. After a full day of adventuring Arizona and enjoying the searing sunshine, though, coming back to our room (for what it was) was gratifying. The smiling staff is welcoming, doing the best they can with what they have to work with, and each evening our room was clean and inviting. Again: if your only need is a comfortable night's rest at a better-than-average rate, looking into 3 Palms is a good starting point.
