Let me preface this review by saying I'm an incorrigible book store snob. I work across the street from what is probably the best book store of its type in the United States, so it takes a lot to impress me.
What I enjoyed most about Penguin was how clean and airy the store felt, along with a sizable collection of local interest books. Otherwise, quantity and selection of books were okay, but they carried the books I expected them to carry, but nothing truly interesting or unusual as far as the sections I looked at most carefully (cooking and science.)
Came out with a purchase, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to return here.
