  • I have been going to OnCall Dental for the third time now, hoping to find a regular dentistry due to my last bad experience with my dentist of 6 years. Throughout my visit at OnCall, the first two Dr. were great and thorough, but the third was not so great. It literally took him 10 mins to clean my teeth, than sent me on my way. I am a very cautious person and keep up very well with my hygiene, so I get preventative maintenance 3-4 times a year on my teeth cleaning. When I lay down, he begins by polish my teeth which I thought was strange. (Shouldn't you polish and rise at the very end of the cleaning?) Than he use only the electric ultrasonic instrument to take out my tars. That's was it and I was all done. There were many scalers and curettes (fine hand tools) lay out by the assistant on the table but never did he use any of them to get the remaining tar/deposits that the ultrasonic couldn't reach. At the end, I had to ask for some floss and floss myself in the bathroom because there were sand remains from the polish. He said the reason why he didn't floss my teeth was because it looks too tight and the floss would break. That's not a good excuse not to encourage flossing by a dentist. I'm no expert but I've been through many cleaning and know enough that they usually polish and rise at the end of the cleaning. In the end, I paid my service and left feeling not so clean for the first time. I would not come back until the company restructures the procedure and service with their doctors/hygienists. They even lost my appointment...
