| - I was on a road trip, coming home from a great time with great friends. I hadn't chose where to stay until that morning, based solely on how far I estimated I'd be able to travel without fatigue.
This location showed, the price was right, and I made a reservation quickly and easily.
On arrival, I found it in a newly developed area in Champaign, IL. It was clean, tidy and well set from the exit. Near a Dairy Queen, and showing brochures from many businesses that would deliver, food was easily acquired. I'm a DQ kid, so I was set, but I did peek at my many possibilities.
The gal working the desk was charming! Louella was positively a warm gust in my cold travels. Her cheer and assistance were so welcome!
After I settled in, I prowled the available cable, weighed it against the movies on my laptop, and decided to chat with friends online. Yay free wifi! Usual hotel security stuff, and i was connected and socializing online.
The bed was comfortable and the only issue was a noisy blockhead next door. Not the hotel's fault, and I was too tired to bother calling down to have them silenced. I slept very well after that fool stopped talking. I thought *I* spoke at volume. Good grief.
They provide a simple breakfast, which got me out the door. I wish there was simple egg and bacon, but I wish I was taller, too. ;) It was enough for me to grab coffee (reasonably good), a fresh banana and a wee muffin and hit the road. Checkout was painless and the kid there in the morning was cheerful and welcoming.
I will definitely use this location the next time I travel out that way!
