  • I was disappointed with Seafood Depot. I had expected a large selection of common and uncommon fish and seafood and instead found that they have most fish and clams that one would find elsewhere. Perhaps there is little demand for anything more exotic? As it is, you will not find anything here that you would not at a good supermarket or at St. Lawrence market. The prices were not any better (or worse) than anywhere else either. I bought some scallops which were quite fresh and tasty. Also on offer salmon, halibut, tuna, clams, shrimp and sea urchin. A larger selection belongs to frozen goods, Italian cookware and Christmas knickknacks like one would find on the shelf at grandma's house. Ample parking, very ugly fluorescent lighting that jars the eyes alongside no attempt at making the warehouse attractive and an even uglier name for a place. Somehow I do not want to have anything edible from a place that is called 'depot.'
