I don't have a lot of experience with resorts for families, but if they are all like this I'll be happy! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the pools and water slide. We were there during spring break, but it never felt too busy.
I especially loved the small "baby pool" by the water slide. Our 2 yr old could stand in it and splash around. It was nice to let him lose and not worry about him wandering to the deep end or walking off steps into deep water. Typically we have to constantly holds him which is frustrating for both of us parents. This was such a nice treat...to sit in the water while he played.
Our 8 yr old loved the games the staff organized at the top of every hour. Our 5 year old eventually worked up the courage to join her sister on the water slide and they didn't want to ever leave.
We all loved listening to flute music and s'mores by the fire on Friday night.
I'm sad our stay was so short and that I didn't have time to try out the kid's club or the spa or the restaurants.
The website said there were free yoga and meditation classes on the weekends, but I couldn't find anything more about when and what the classes were exactly. I could have called, but was hoping to sign up online since I read about this in the wee hours of the last morning we were there and didn't want to wake the kids with a call.
Both my husband and I took turns running outside. I just did the out and back on the "interpretive trail" which was beautiful and a perfect 3 mile run from the pool and back. My husband ran 5 miles so he took a few more trails by the golf course and almost got lost.
The bathroom in our room was large. Nice tub and shower. Beds were super comfy. I just wish there was more space on the balcony. Clean rooms and more updated than I expected.
We checked out today and noticed an extra 50ish $ charge in addition to the resort fee so we'll be checking that out.
Overall, great experience. Hoping to come back.
