  • If you are in Newmarket and in need of a Guinness properly poured, a pretty good steak and mushroom pie, and service that accommodates a 12 year old who can be a challenge, this is a solid choice. The food is perhaps in the upper 25% of pubs and the service is definitely in the upper 10% in my experience. There may be better places in the area, but the niece who took me there has a pretty good nose for quality in these things. I'll probably go back and that's something I wouldn't say about a lot of pubs I've been in.
