  • This is a joke, right? They tell me that the business has to be registered with them for anything to take place. And all the business has to do is acknowledge there's a problem, or not, and then, nothing. If you really want to see something happen, then you need to go to the Attorney General. They have clout and can provide legal satisfaction. But the BBB is just a big show that goes nowhere in my experience. I received not only no satisfaction, but confusion as to what exactly they could or would do to resolve my problem. In my case, they said the business would be informed and then... it was up to the same crappy business to do something in response to my complaint. Not exactly proactive. Remember that there is no legal authority, just gentle persuasion that they can bring to bear. That said, you'd be extremely lucky to get anything close to a resolution unless the business complies voluntarily, which apparently doesn't happen all that often. I'd say you'd get better results going on social media and making a big stink. This sounds great in theory, but in my personal experience, it is mostly for show and has no teeth whatsoever.
