  • Our house was built in 1974 and had all single pane non-safety glass windows. We have considered remodeling so have put off purchasing new windows. We came to the realization that we needed to go ahead and get new windows for both heating/cooling and safety. Our salesman was new and we ended up having to change the order when the gentleman came out to measure and informed us of some code issues but thankfully, that is why they come out and make sure that the order is ok before sending to manufacturing. There were some timing issues due to our summer vacation and the size of the job. We were slightly mislead by the office scheduling that this would be a three day job and when we started to have issues, the scheduler Lindey became difficult to reach. Fortunately, there was a person in California (Jim) who called to see how the job was going and was right on it when we had an issue. He called the field supervisor (Mike) who came right over to the house instead of simply calling us and explained in detail what was entailed for the job and why it was going to take longer and be more involved due to permits and inspections. That is all we wanted - was to be informed and understand the process. The best part of this company is the workers - Sergio, his helper (I cannot remember his name), Job and Shawn were all polite and hard workers. Mike sent a second crew over to our house so that everything besides permit work could be completed that day and they stayed until it was. The second crew was just as nice and just as hard working. They were also very obliging to the fact that we had pets. We went back and forth on whether to get vinyl or metal windows. We are quite happy with these as they do not stand out anymore, we simply see through them to the view. They definitely cut the glare and most definitely the heat. There is a slight green/grey hue to them and they are somewhat reflective but not to the point that we regret our purchase. The rest of the project is scheduled for next week so hopefully all will go smoothly with the second phase as well.
