  • This place opened recently and is located at the street level of 18 Yonge condos. I decided to check it out because they currently have a promotion where you get 15% off if you go on Monday-Thursday between 11am and 2 pm. This is only on until the end of February 2011. My friend and I both had a day off, so we gave ourselves a little gift. The service is very friendly. All the ladies that work there are so sweet, very nice and try their best to make you comfortable. I believe they're mostly vietnamese. Half of them speak English fluently, the other half understand most of the time, but sometimes needs one of the others to help translate. I got a french manicure and a french pedicure. PRICE: With taxes, it ended up being around $42. It's only $2 more for a french manicure versus a regular manicure and $2 more for a french pedicure versus a regular pedicure. SERVICE: As I said, the ladies were so sweet and friendly from beginning until end. They even adjusted my chair for me! My only complaint would be that because they try to tend to more than one customer at a time, it took a pretty long time; we were there for around an hour and a half. So be prepared for them to leave you in between steps. I wasn't in a rush, so it was okay. "PRODUCT": My nails looked great afterwards. I have a personal preference to have my nails square but rounded, so I had to file the edges a bit afterwards to round it off. Overall, I was very pleased with the results. I've only ever had a manicure/pedicure one other time in my life and that was at Blue Butterfly in Oakville. So this place is definitely not comparable in quality and service, but for the price, it's definitely worth it. The only thing I am a little concerned with is the fact that they don't use one-time-use things such as small nail files and small nail polish bottles like they did at Blue Butterfly. Is this how most nail salons do it? All in all, I would go back next time I feel like getting my nails done for me.
