  • We were forced to stop here because it's started to rain heavily while we were walking through the city but wow was it a great find! This bar/restaurant is awesome because it is hidden in the heart of the city right between all the office buildings which you don't see very often. When we come we ran up to the patio area (which is actually street level; the restaurant is located downstairs and doesn't have any windows). The bartender was very sweet and told us to hurry up and get under the large canopy to get out of the rain. Of course it was only fitting that we get some drinks while we were there. On the patio area they have a full bar with a great selection of beers and cocktails. While we were waiting for the rain to stop we decided to order some food and not only did the bartender take the time to help us find a vegan option; but she also called down to ask the chefs certain questions about the food and what's it made of. We ended up going with their curry which I will admit wasn't the best but they did a great job trying to meet our dietary needs! The reason I believe this place deserves the 5 stars though is because of the service; our bartenders name was Maria and she was amazing! The best service we had during our whole trip in Toronto and I can proudly say better than most bartenders in the US. She was very talkative, welcoming, and you can tell she was interested in where we were from, what our plans were, and gave us recommendations. One thing I'd like to point out is there were many people that came by that knew her by name and she knew all their names as well....now that's great customer service right there! So I'd recommend stopping by and saying hello to Maria if you're in the area and grab a drink while you're at it!
