  • We have been to Cibo many times, we have also rented out the Carriage House for our company Christmas party and have never had any issues, ever. Until today. Grab yourself a nice glass of wine, pair it with an assortment of exceptional cheeses, and have a seat for this glorious experience. We walked into Cibo, were immediately greeted by the hostess; she was very welcoming, a smile on her face, sat us within a few minutes of our arrival. Then, boys and girls came our waiter, Ross. He had a smile on his face, seemed welcoming, however, the freshly smoked cigarette odor lingering off of him was extremely unpleasant. Restaurant dining is meant to excite your senses; sight, smell, taste, touch. I mean, there is nothing like, here is your glass of iced tea, with my cigarette fingers all over it. We were a table of 4, we all ordered our individual dinners, three ordered salads, as an appetizer, in addition to their dinner. Out came their salad AND my dinner. Wait, why is my dinner coming out with their salad you ask? Not quite sure kids. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen. I asked a different staff member to take back my meal, as the rest of the parties dinner had not arrived at the table, and that they were just served their salad. The look of bewildered confusion came upon her face. She took back my dinner, and out came our waiter, Ross telling me that "it would be five minutes tops" before the rest of my parties dinner came out if I can just leave my hot sandwich in front of me until their food came out. Well, fifteen minutes went by, their dinner never appeared. We asked Ross to take back my dinner, as it was now cold, also because the rest of the parties dinner has yet to come out. During this wait, the parties dinner came out, with mine in the abyss of the kitchen. Almost fifteen minutes went by, my dinner never made it out of the kitchen. I asked Ross for the manager. She came to the table, with a smirk on her face. I told her what is going on. Wait for this.... she did not even apologize, or offer to make it right. She stood there with her smirky face, saying something about the way the kitchen works. Not my problem. During all of this banter, my dinner finally made its way to the table. The manager never offered to make the situation right. Listen, I was not looking to have been offered anything for free, or have my meal comped. I just wanted my dinner at the same time the rest of my party was eating their dinner. I did not want to sit and eat my dinner, while they are eating their appetizer. A simple sincere apology would have made it better. Needless to say, we will never again step one foot into this establishment. As a paying customer, there are plenty of options for dining in this city. I get better customer service at my local grocery store then I did in this restaurant. We have rented the Carriage House for a company Christmas party, I promise you this, they have lost all future business. We work hard for our money, and it will never again be spent at Cibo. To the manager; not sure what your name is, you need to educate yourself on proper customer service etiquette. The way you treated me was horrendous and extremely unprofessional. You never made it right. You never even returned back to our table after our dinner was finally served, just to ask how everything was. Shame on you. What kind of example are you setting for your staff? To lack empathy to the customer. Shame on you.
