| - Ehh, i was excited to come and try Bobby Flay's restaurant, the food and descriptions sounded great. But the food did not deliver. Dinner prices are high and not justified for the mediocre food.
We started with the lobster tacos, the blue corn shell taco shell was probably the best part. The sauce is a little spicy with nice flavor. My only problem is that the tacos are very small, and they used shredded lobster meat versus big chunks of lobster. The lobster lost is flavor, being drowned in the sauce.
I had the spiced pork tenderloin, its actually decent. Again, the sauce was really the star. The pork tenderloin did not have a whole lot of flavor, but it was cooked well. The sweet potato tamale was really good, probably my favorite part of the entree.
Also sampled a side of chile relleno and smoked chicken quesadilla. Both are very bad. The side chile relleno was stuffed with black bean, making it very heavy and starchy, you lost all flavor from the chile/cheese because the black bean came out too strong. The smoked chicken quesdilla was similar, it had a lot of black bean, no cheese, and a very thick tortilla. So both are basically bland and tasteless.
I guess some items are hit and miss, i just ordered the wrong stuff. For the prices they charge on dinner $$$, not worth it, i would go elsewhere for a more satisfactory meal.
