Returned to fukumimi ramen after a long break, and reminded of why I don't love it as much as my go to spot.
The good:
1. we got a table right away, which is great for a Saturday night.
2. Also they have a stamp card; every 4 ramens you earn yourself a free appetizer when you come back.
3. Staff is very friendly and quick to help you out
The bad:
1. We got the miso ramen with pork, and thick noodles. Problem is...it just doesnt taste as good as monta chaya.
2. You pay more, 8.20 (fukumimi) vs 6.95 (monta) the thing is, you do get more toppings but you get less noodles. So you get a half an egg, and a scoop of corn, that you would pay extra for if you wanted it at the other place.
We will come back, but probably only when we're in a hurry and don't want to wait.
