  • Great place to take the family. We surprised our kids one weekend by bringing them to Great Wolf Lodge, and they had a fantastic time here. We stayed in the Wolf Den themed suite and the kids loved the bunk beds, their own tv, and the overall look of the room. I like that the rooms have a microwave and mini fridge. The rooms were nice and spacious for a family of 4. And personally I really like having the sink outside of the bathroom so someone can use it while someone else is using the bathroom or shower. The entrance is quite impressive with a carving of giant wolves. As you step through the doors, right away you feel like you've escaped your normal life and stepped into a fun adventurous zone. There are trash cans that look like trees and have squirrels on them, there's a giant bear chair, and the giant clock tower tree is front and center of the room. As you make your way towards your room, look out around you because lots of kids are running around playing the MagiQuest game that is stationed throughout the lodge. It's very easy to get to the water park. It's attached to the hotel, and you can take the elevators down to the first floor, or you can take the open stairs as well. There are plenty of slides to keep you entertained. And the best part is that the water park is only opened to guests of the lodge, which means that lines are kept to a minimum. And usually around lunch time, the lines are very small or non-existent. I was able to go on about 5 rides in 10 minutes with my son at one point. There's a kiddie pool area for the small tots with lots of splash activities and small slides. There's a nice wave pool that's not overly scary for the kids, and there's also a nice outdoor pool area to enjoy the sun if you like. There's no need to leave the lodge during your stay. There are a couple of nice restaurants/buffets to choose from, dessert shops, coffee shop, and an arcade. There are also plenty of activities to keep you busy all throughout the day, starting with morning yoga and concluding with a bedtime story and show at night. There's also several opportunities to meet the characters there as well as a Kids Club during the daytime where you can do arts and crafts with your child. Best of all, you can continue using the water park all day until close on the day of your check out to continue the fun. There are showers available for use, as well as a bathing suit dryer in the bathrooms. So be sure to pack a separate day bag. Overall we had a great stay, and I would highly recommend checking it out.
