| - The Good: It was fun getting to do their pole-dancing classes. A major workout too! Arms were sore the next day. Hey, no pain, no gain, but I was fine 2 days later. Ladies of different levels were in the class so it was good to also see some pros work the poles (while, I of course, was just trying to do a complete spin).
There are many other classes. I got to try out an Abs, Legs, and Butt workout which was definitely good cardio and muscle strengthening for one hour. The teachers are energetic and helpful.
Since they just moved to this location last month, everything is brand new. The equipment is new and wherever possible, pink is used (but not to the point of extreme!). I was told by a friend that this location is a lot bigger and brighter than the last. Also, it's very convenient since it's right on the King St. streetcar line. Their shower facilities are clean with Aveeno Shampoo and Conditioner packets for you to take.
The Bad: Minor, but they should put the water cooler in the reception area. I found it in one of the classes that's down the hall, but you wouldn't know unless you ventured to there and often there is a class. I suppose this might also be a way for them to sell their own bottled water.
The Overall: Fun, fun, fun! I would suggest this place for a Bachelorette party since it is convenient to get to and I've had a few friends who have said great things about the place as guests to one of these parties.
Revisit: I still have 3 classes to go so I'll be coming by again. I'm not looking to be a pro at pole-dancing so it's not likely I will continue with the classes, but I think every lady in Toronto who is into doing something healthy should give it a try. Not sure if I will buy another set of classes because it's really more for people who work or live downtown.
