| - All my life I felt that as I had short/stubby fingers with short/stubby fingernails to match, what was the point in paying somebody to slap some varnish on it when I could do it myself? I also thought that said stubbies would look ridiculous with the bright and bold colours I favoured, so I didnt bother.
Today though, changed everything. A friend and I took another friend to Urban Nails for a pre-wedding manicure. While I originally was going to go with a nice and safe "clear" polish, I decided to toss caution to the wind and go with the brightest and boldest red I could find.
My nails now resemble cherry jellybeans and I am enamoured of my fingers for the first time ever. They are no longer fingernails, no. They are kellybeans!
My esthetician, Sarah, not only did a great job on my hands, but she also touched up my eyebrows for me (waxing, not polish obviously) not only listening to what I was telling her but actually following through on it.
While I wont be giving up my precious Sugar Moon for my delicates, I have a new, closer-to-home, spot for everything else now.
(Also, should add that the only time Sarah spoke in Vietnamese to her co-workers was to ask clarification on something I had said or asked. It was English all around as far as I could tell)
