The sister company of Cheesecake Factory. I pretty much live for Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately, Grand Lux just wasn't on par. They were just average in my opinion. I dined here twice on my recent trip to Vegas, as I stayed at the Palazzo. It is a quick and convenient restaurant to have inside a hotel.
My first visit was for take out. I ended up getting a lunch portion of their half BLT with a soup and salad. It was A LOT of food. Portions here are HUGE. The chicken tortilla soup was very tasty and very filling. I could tell there was a lot of sodium though, which is expected. There was so much bacon in the BLT and I am not one to waste bacon, but I just couldn't eat it all. Salad was ok. The balsamic dressing was odd but tasty I guess. Even though I tried to get something "healthy", I still felt very bloated after. Obviously all the sodium.
For dinner on my last night, I got the chicken parm. WOW. This chicken parm was bigger than my face. The waiter did try to warn me on the portion but I didn't think it was going to be THAT big. I ended up eating only a quarter of it and took the rest home on the plane. It actually wasn't even that good, but I didn't want to waste it. It was also too salty. Not enjoyable. Our waiter that night was very friendly. I wish I remembered his name. His customer service was excellent and the way he treated all customers was very respectable.
I probably won't stay at the Palazzo again, which means I probably won't go out of my way to eat here again either. I'll stick to the Cheesecake Factory.
