  • Allen's has been a regular of mine for years ... warm and cozy in the winter with delicious comfort food. In the summer, the huge patio under the trees is perfect. My favourite item is the oak-smoked Irish salmon with creme fraiche and chives. Allen's predecessor was Joe Allen's on John Street, a hangout of mine in the 1980s. Similar ambiance. Still miss it.
