  • I'm writing this review to counterbalance the bad one that's already written. This wonderful animal hospital shouldn't be defined by one persons horrible experience. Dr. Smithson took care of my rescued guinea pig for years and when it was his time to pass over the rainbow bridge, she and her entire staff were amazing. Even the shop cat gave me a smooch and a rub. They lit a candle and euthanized my sweetie so gently, he didn't even flinch. Then they sent the bill rather than make me pay that day. And before the bill arrived, a tree seed came with a loving card for me. In a way, they made the day I said goodbye as special and sweet to remember as the day I found him. Now they see my new guinea pigs and as always, they trim their nails with such incredible tender care. I could not recommend them more. I'm sorry for the other reviewer here but I can't believe that was the norm, I really can't.
