  • The classic feel of the drive-in theater, plenty of space for parking near each individual screen, concession stand conveniently placed in the center of everything. Yes, the West Wind Glendale 9 drive-in has much to boast. I only have two reasons for not giving it that fifth star. 1) screen number 4 faces the adjacent street behind the theater and there are 3 very bright street lights shining at you. This has really impacted viewing darker shots in movies. And 2) the concessions are refreshing but pricey. This is understandable however, as most indoor theaters have the same downfall. They have to make money somewhere. Overall I enjoy this drive-in theater and would recommend it to any and all people. UPDATE: Justin from West wind was kind enough to explain to me that they do all they can to accommodate viewing on this screen (number 4) by show films that have the least amount of dark scenes as possible. As I have stated before, I have definitely had to put up my sun visor, pillow, or hand to block the incoming light so my eyes can adjust to the darker scenes... but knowing that West Wind does something about it, makes me feel even better about going to the drive in. I would give 4.5 stats if I could. Thank you for the response and keep up the good work West Wind!
