Nothing is more near and dear to my heart than animals, especially dogs. I fell in love with a 3 year old mutt 2 years ago that we adopted from DCHS, and I'm so grateful. They brought her up from North Carolina through a program that offers homes to over populated shelter dogs in exchange for them vowing to promote spay/neuter programs. It's a terrific way to control the pet population and to bring homes to dogs who may otherwise have been euthanized. I don't know how anyone could have given up our sweet girl, but whatever the reason we have been able to happily give her a forever home. It's important to me that we look within and outside our community to improve our world. Thanks DCHS for caring for the domesticated animals, and by extension Four Lakes for rescuing injured wildlife.
