Our first night in Montreal happened to fall in between Gran Prix weekend. Downtown is PACKED during this time and the original spot we wanted to go to dinner at had no openings. Thursday's was a pleasant surprise in all the chaos of the city. Most people make reservations when dining here but my family got lucky and were seated within 10 minutes.
We were given baby pickles, a brick of cheese, and bread for the table. My family ordered a set of Oysters and the Salman tartar for the appetizers. I liked the salmon a lot and it paired well with the bread.
For dinner I ordered the scallops which were served with mixed corn and an avocado sauce. It was delicious!
As I mentioned above, the night was super busy so service wasn't A+ as our waiter was responsible for 6 sets of table on the busiest weekend f the year. They were understaffed and I know this restaurant probably has the best service in town any other weekend so I understand. Overall it was a great first meal in Montreal and a nice start to the weekend.
