  • I pretty much go to Dolars on a regular basis. I have several vehicles and all my kids take their cars to him. i have recommended quite a few friends who were very pleased and will continue to use him. Their have been a few times when he was busy and I went to someone else. Only to wind up back at Dolar, because I knew the other mechanic shop was over charging me. My latest venture was when I went to Buick for a air bag recall. They gave me a courtesy maintenance check. ( should have known better). When I came back they gave me a list of things they found that need to be replaced asap. About $1800.00 worth. I am pretty mechanical knowledgeable and I know when something doesn't sound right. So as usual, I took my car to Dolar and their were a few things wrong that Buick did diagnose, But their were also quite a few things that did not need to be done. Dolars diagnosis and total price was a little over $600.00 It is amazing when some of these auto shops think your a dummy when it comes to mechanics, and the majority will take advantage of you. Most of the people that i have sent to Dolar, had the same experience from other shops. They are very happy that i recommended Dolar to them. So the next a mechanic shop gives you a quote and it dosen't seem quite right. i suggest you let Dolar give you a quote. You wont lose anything and you could save a lot.
