  • If you're staying in Toronto.... ...this is the Bed and Breakfast you will either love staying at or wish you had booked ahead! My fiancĂ© planned our trip in October and with a weeks notice, we were lucky to find a room in this cozy home. Scott greeted us Saturday evening and helped us in, showed us to our room, and suggested restaurants/places to go during our 3 day vacation. We stayed in the Jasper room on the third floor. We knew we would be sharing a bathroom with another room, but as there were four others in the room next door, sharing was not enjoyable. BUT, our bed was comfortable and the room temperature was nice. The comforter was very warm and we even enjoyed leaving our window open in the evenings. I was sorry there was not a mirror in our bedroom, but I mentioned it to Scott and he said he would have given me a mirror had he known. hopefully he'll hang one for future guests. We loved the common space on the first floor. Each night we came in, we curled up pm the couch or chairs and reminisced the day/read our books. The kitchen/fridge was made available to us---we stored some cold goods and enjoyed hot water with honey in the evenings. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Waking to the smell of coffee is not something I'm used to, and I quite liked it. Noah, Mush (oh I wish I remembered if that was her name) and Jenny, were delightful to see and made tasty, substantial breakfasts to start our days. We enjoyed visiting with the other guests: swapping stories and suggestions of must do items in Toronto. Our vacation would not have been the same without Scott, his staff, and the beautiful, warm, and welcoming Banting House. I can't forget to mention how convenient it was location wise!!! A walk away from great restaurants, public transportation, and Bixi bike rentals. We had a great trip to Toronto and owe a lot of thanks to Banting House for helping us plan the best way to see as much as we could in three days. Thanks! Stayed October 2012, traveled as a couple
