My trees have not been looking good so I called in 3 top rated Tree Services in the valley for quotes on my 4 Shamel Ash trees. The quotes ranged in price from $280 to $680 to drench, spray the tree and trunk, put systemic insecticide into the root system and inject liquid fertilizer in a grid. What they didn't tell me was tree sap at this time of year is on it's way down, hence Fall season. SO....why fertilize now? I learned this from Jesse the owner and sole proprietor of All About Trees. I explained what the other tree services had told me I needed done and he told me....."Look, if you want to give me your money, I will take it, but honestly you don't need to do that until April". He explained how this is the slow time of year for tree feeding companies and that is why you see all of these promotions now. The only logical tree care now is pruning because most trees are going into their dormant state.
I have to commend Jesse on his honesty and his regimen for proper tree care. It all makes sense and if you do your homework you won't be out of pocket $680, it will only cost you maybe a third. I will be calling Jesse in April for my tree care.
Honesty is always....The Best Policy!
