  • Stayed in a hotel in Old Montreal, and needed to do some laundry before heading out on a cruise. Took the Metro orange line to Berri UQAM. Hopped onto green line to the Atwater station. Walked 3-4 blocks to this laundry mat and found a clean, friendly place in a good neighborhood. Detergent took a $1.00 coin, the washer was $2, put in 8 quarters, although it does take $1 coins It was recommended to use quarters. Don't worry, there is a change machine that returns quarters. Dryer used 10 quarters - $2.50 - and we used medium heat. Recommend high if you are comfortable. Summary: safe, friendly, clean, great for visitors traveling to Montreal that need some clean clothes.
