I went to Living Spaces to purchase a rug and while the woman was very helpful, she also misinformed me on a few key details. We live a good 30 minutes away and she told me the rug would be ready for my husband to pick up the next day. He drove up there and it wasn't there-they also said the sales check was marked for 8 days later! This was beyond frustrating to find out because I had my husband return our current rug to another store on his way up to Living Spaces so we could get it all done at the same time. We have a 10 month old baby, and our house has slate tile floors. I planned this all out so that we'd have a rug for him to continue to play on...
Anyway, I called the 800 number and listened to the voice recording that claims they have "excellent customer service." That is FALSE! I find it highly annoying that I can't speak to a local store manager to complain about his employees giving out false information and screwing up our pick-up date. (the saleswoman told me they could deliver the rug for $99, the person at the call center said, no- they don't deliver rugs, too) Pull it together people. I asked to speak to a higher up which they call the "escalation department." I have left 2 messages and have yet to hear from them.
In the restaurant industry, when they mess up your meal, you get it for free. I expected a free delivery of our rug since they told us the wrong date and we wasted our time and gas going up there, among other inconveniences with our baby. I am not impressed with this business at all and think their "excellent customer service" is a joke. Good luck!
