  • I just moved to the City and I decided to try this salon out. The overall vibe of the place is great and everyone seems very nice and welcoming, however I will not be going back. I'm pretty trusting with hair stylists and am pretty much open to anything, but the lady colouring my hair made me extremely nervous about it. I really am not picky and all I really wanted was to lighten my hair from the red shade it was. I had booked time for balayage and wanted to add blonde. But right off the bat I was told that the look I wanted would be "impossible". I asked for suggestions, but I just being told how much work it would be to get the red out of my hair and that it's actually a colour correction I needed. We googled pictures but everything I brought up was being shot down. The colourist seemed very unsure about what she could do to make my hair lighter and unsure about what would look good. I almost felt guilty for wanting to add blonde to my hair and I was very tempted to leave before we even started. She did aplogize for how the beginning of the appointment was handled, which I did appreciate...but it should not have been necessary. She did end up lightening it (balayage hightlights) and the colour is ok. But I don't love it and I don't feel it was worth the money. On a positive note the lady who cut my hair was a delight and made me relax a bit more. Regardless, when I got home that day, I was very upset about the whole experience and will not be going back. I would much rather go to my old hair salon two hours away.
