  • It's a working class dive bar. I like working class people and dive bars. I also like cheap beer, an extensive jukebox and a 70s Canadian cottage vibe, all of which Jenny's place brings to the table. Definitely, some patrons drink too much, so you may have to extricate yourself from a conversation with someone doing shots in the afternoon. But I've only ever enjoyed myself here, I've liked everyone I've met (the staff are great) and I've been too many times to count - it's a 2 minute walk from my house. I'd come even if I didn't live up the street though. Some dives are truly sad, but there is a solid attempt at decor here, especially in the two years since the reno. The restored tin ceiling is genuinely nice. And yes, women can come and feel welcome, if they are comfortable around the occasional heavy drinker - I often go with my girlfriend, who will also drop in on her own.
