rev:text	This is my neighborhood nail spot in my new neighborhood. I've been there for a pedicure about four times and for a lip wax once. Twice I've taken my daughter (who has no business getting pampered like that at her age, but it is a fun mom-daughter thing to do together) for a Little Miss Pedi. I think my affection for Sundrops stems mostly from how much they like my little girl! The first time I took her in with me the techs remembered her from a previous visit with her auntie and they could not have been nicer to her. Most of them are also nice to me, in that they work quietly on my gross feet without making conversation, so I can just relax and lose myself in a trashy magazine. There is one tech who is chattier than I prefer, but that's OK.. I still give them five stars for service. The ambience is lovely too. Very nice decor and facilities -- a surprise to come in from the strip mall to this peaceful, pretty refuge. BUUUUUUT, the true test of a nail salon is the quality of the manis and pedis, and I have found that to be variable. One time I was particularly disappointed, although not enough to go back and request a re-do. The pedicure was better than what I would have done myself, but not as neat as I would like when I am paying someone else cash money. I would rate the pedicures themselves about 3 or 3.5 stars. Still, I will go back because it is convenient, pleasant and good enough. But I suspect I could probably get a cheaper, better pedicure at one of the Vietnamese salons on Indian School or Thomas. Oh well. To me the ambience and proximity are worth something.
