  • I have been going to Family Marketplace for probably about 10 years now. Even though I live in Willowdale now, I still go there whenever I am out in Scarborough. The prices are low and the quality is excellent. However I find that if you want fresh ground beef, they are usually out by the early afternoon. Also they are open on all holidays, but are very busy on those days. I went there this afternoon, 06 February 2018 to purchase some items, so I can make some Vietnamese Pho tonight. They are in the Chartwell Mall. When I walked into the mall around 13h45, I saw another gentleman looking at me. Wow, it was a guy who worked at a print shop that I have known for over 20 years! He is retired too, just like I am. It was wonderful seeing someone that I saw pretty much everyday for so many years. Wow, that was awesome. I bought Green Onions, 2 for $1.59 Bean Sprout for .24 cents, and .22 lbs of slice beef for $5.75 which will be enough for about three or four Pho dinners. Throw it into the freezer, and they'll be ready for you next Pho dinner.
