  • Opened on October 2010, the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge--an arch bridge spanning Colorado River just downstream from Hoover Dam--is the centerpiece of the Hoover Dam Bypass. The bridge features a pedestrian walkway on the north side for tourists to get a full, unobstructed of Hoover Dam. Both the bridge and the nearby Hoover Dam are well-frequented, being in proximity to Las Vegas, one of the most visited cities in the US. If you have time to spend around Hoover Dam (especially during your visit to Las Vegas), go walk this bridge for some breathtaking views of the dam. And please do not run or jog for the safety of tourists as the walkway is narrow. Also, please keep in mind that pets and bikes are not allowed on the walkway. Furthermore, please note that the bridge and the dam are accessible only from Exit 2 on US 93 in Nevada as locked gates prevent vehicles from accessing Hoover Dam directly from Arizona, and vice versa.
