| - After my wife's car suffered mechanical failure, we needed to replace it fast and on a very limited budget. After searching online, we came across a newly listed vehicle that fit our needs and was right within our budget at Another Time Used Cars. Unfortunately, by the time we were able to get to the dealership the next day, it had already been sold. The first person we met was Kevin Pinkney. We told him about the car we wanted to check out at which point he told us it had already been sold, but he then showed us something else that was similar but at about HALF of what we were willing to spend openly admitting that the mileage was very high on this particular vehicle but it had passed emissions cleanly and ran smoothly having so much wear on the engine, so already we got a sense that we weren't being pressured to spend every last cent we had available to us! We talked with Kevin a bit to give him a sense of what we were looking for/needed in a replacement vehicle and he showed us a few options, some of which hadn't even been listed yet. We test drove a few cars until we settled on a good option for us. At no point did Kevin ever steer us in one direction or another and basically let us browse his entire inventory to allow us to find what WE felt was a good fit for us.
Next we met with Financing Manager Steve Hill who couldn't have been nicer or more laid back. He went over our credit report and noted that while we didn't have stellar numbers, the thing that jumped out to him was we ALWAYS made payments on time and had zero delinquencies so he was more than happy to help us get the financing we would need. He was also up front in telling us that while he was going to go over warranty options and other add-ons that by no means did we need to feel like we HAD to purchase anything more than the vehicle itself. He even went so far as to say "If you just don't believe in paying for warranties and such, just say so and we can go forward and not talk any further about it."
This was hands-down one of the simplest, low-pressured car buying experiences we've ever had and would recommend Another Time Used Cars to friends, family, or anybody else. Non-commercial used car lots can get a really bad rap as being sleazy, money-grab businesses but this place is FAR from that stereotype.
