| - I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this place. I went with my parents and boyfriend as a sort of late birthday lunch. None of us had been here before, but we wanted something fast and casual, but still good quality. Well, that is exactly what we got.
As many others have stated, it's cafeteria style ordering. We all went for the enchiladas, but you can order tacos, salads, and soups as well. There were also a couple specials, including Modelo braised bison available till they ran out. We had our choice of corn tortilla or a 50/50 corn/flour combo. You then choose your filling, or a combination of fillings. I had green chili pork and the short rib, but there was also chicken, as well as potatos, spinach, and corn bread filling as vegetarian options, or to combine with your meat. I chose the cheddar cheese and Christmas sauce for both enchiladas. I also got a fried egg on top. After the enchiladas are baked, you can choose from other toppings such as pickled onions, pico, cotija, and other sauces and salsas. I kept it pretty simple and just got cotija and a side of salsa verde.
I ordered the Oro to drink, which is their house margarita. I honestly wasn't expecting much, as it came from a pitcher in the cooler, but it was actually really tasty. My mom got a ton of different hot sauce and salsa on the side. I was really happy with the spice level of everything. Even without extra sauce the enchiladas had a nice kick. The meat inside the enchiladas was tender and flavorful, and not fatty or too greasy at all. It was a perfect portion of food for lunch time, and we all really enjoyed everything.
Although we came just after noon (in the middle of their busy lunch rush) service was prompt and friendly. There was also ample seating, we found a spot easily and did not feel over crowded.
I'm glad we finally tried this spot out, I definitely would like to return and try other combinations on their menu.
