  • Overall it's definitely not my favorite sushi place in the whole world. It's small and often feels cramped, the service is spotty (like they're nice but are not very attentive which is somewhat surprising considering how small it is) also its always noisy and the sushi selection isn't as good as it could be butttt it's virtually the only authentic Japanese restaurant in the area that's not terribly americanized. Also the rolls the do serve are good in the sense that the fish tastes good and fresh...I guess I just don't absolutely adore them though because they use this weird soy paper instead of seaweed, they don't offer many dishes with eel which is my favorite, and they I just wish they utilized more ingredients and sauces to mix it up a bit. So overall not the best place ever but it's authentic, the fish is good quality, and the chefs are always nice so if you want sushi and it has to be in Scottsdale this is a good place to go.
