  • I just moved out of Helix Apartments and I have never had such a bad experience living somewhere. DO NOT RENT HERE. 5 Reasons Why: 1. The A/C units are extremely old. The A/C would run constantly, struggling to keep the temperature low. I submitted multiple work orders but nothing could be done. My central A/C electric bill was triple that of my friends who has old school window units. That's ridiculous. 2. They nickel and dime you for everything. Particularly, splitting the water amongst all residence. At night the sprinklers just gush water and there were several major water leaks. Did they refund anyone's money? Nope. 3. They remodeled the main office area to make it appear higher end and classy however their fancy marketing over-promises on the worn out apartments. 4. My car was stolen from the parking lot. They have cameras but they "don't work." 5. They kept part of my security deposit when I moved out even though it was in even better condition that when I moved in. (I have photos and video of the move out condition) The deposit they kept isn't enough for me to waste my time pursuing it. There are better places to live around Downtown Vegas than Helix.
