I was here around 2:30 on a Monday. There were only 4-5 people in the entire restaurant (one on the deck, the rest inside at the bar). My friend and I wanted to sit outside and had some work to do. We tried to sit at a larger table. I reiterate that there was one person on the deck. We were asked to sit at a two top because they needed to reserve the larger tables for large parties. If they had been busy, I get it. I wouldn't have questioned it. But you have to be kidding. No one came to the restaurant in the hour or so that we were there. Had a large party come, we would've been happy to move to accommodate. Restaurants really need to reconsider this type of policy. This is not the first time I've been told that I couldn't sit at a larger table "just in case." At 2:30 on a Monday?!
I won't be back. We did end up sitting at the larger table, but it was clear that we were an inconvenience. We just wanted a couple of glasses of wine while we worked on a project and caught up. We would've been easy guests who generally are quite generous with the tips. Not today.
