  • Few places in Phoenix can be rated top 10 places to eat. Logically. And Angel's Trumpet happens to be one of those places. And this place deserves to be in that bracket for sure. Their food is fresh, and their beer selection is incredible. The beer flight is a classic, tried and true method for trying new beers without having to chug entire glasses down. I came here with a friend and discovered some really interesting favorites that I hope will be on the menu. A beer I tried had a very herbal, sage taste to it in its finish and it paired very nicely with the burger and fries that I got. One thing to note, while I did give this place a full five stars, I personally don't recommend the brulee burger when drinking. "But Russell, why did you give this place five stars if the brulee burger isn't five star worthy?" ONLY when drinking. See, drinking can cause hypoglycemia. But then you ask, well, eating a brulee burger, which has sugar, seems like a good idea right? Here's the thing, it's straight up sugar. Which, for me personally, makes me feel sick. Eating potatoes or any form of slower intake of carb calories mitigates the stomachache issue. But maybe that's just me.
