  • 3 stars because the overall experience was rather painless. It also helped that we got free passes from a nice girl at the front of the club several hours before it opened. She answered all our questions about the type of music played, what the atmosphere is like, and told us to come early when the place opened at 10:30 pm to avoid the crowds. When we showed up, it cracked me up that everyone just gathered all around the velvet ropes, like a herd of cattle waiting to get through. Except this herd of cattle was wearing mini skirts and cheap cologne. No line, whatsoever. But surprisingly, it was pretty orderly. The bouncers simply went around and checked IDs. After a short wait, he headed up the escalators. I echo everyone else in that the dance floor is extremely small. Your apartment living room is probably bigger than their dance floor. Within a half hour, it got packed and sweaty, as bodies started bumping against each other. If you're the type to dance with your arms spaced out and moving freely, enjoy it while it lasts before it gets crowded. The layout does provide ample people-watching, specifically those who bought table service. Since those tables surround the dance floor, you can also people-watch AND dance at the same time. As for the music, it was very disappointing. All I expected was recent music, Top 40, some hip hop, beats that you can shake your moneymaker to in a good rhythm. Well, we didn't get any of that. It was a lot of old stuff with very odd transitions that left the crowd standing still on many occasions. That's a big no-no, especially for a liquored up Vegas crowd paying close to $20 per drink. Not I. After some off-rhythm booty shaking, we left around midnight and headed straight for the tables and slots. $1 drinks, baby. Now that's more like it.
