Oh la la! This petite patissière is a gem. I have been learning the art of French pastries for a while now, and I know how incredibly difficult it is to make the perfect pâte choux for croissants or a flawless macaron (I have yet to make a perfect one, grrr). This bakery is fantastic. The service is fantastic, the menu options are delectable, the atmosphere is calming ad pleasant. They have soups and drinks, as well as their scrumptious desserts.
There are three or four days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I think...) that they have orders of artisan bread available for pickup. They disappear before they even have a chance to put them on display. They also make their own breads.
When I visited the bakery with my fiancé, we decided to share a few of the desserts I am learning to make. Wow. Although my latest attempts are pretty darn good (if I do say so myself), these little creations were divine. I hope to one day be able to compare my work with that of Christian, Hardy and Stephan.
