  • Very good brewery and food. Sadly they no longer have the "kilt lifter filet" we saw here on yelp - which is surprising considering how highly it was rated. So, we ordered the wings (which they let us do with all three sauces), and the nachos with the added blackened chicken. Someone on here said they were a "top 10" nacho in the USA, but I'd challenge that. Sure, they were good and a great size (huge), but top 10, I think not! The chips were all super super oily and there was a crazy amount of cheese - though I'm not complaining, I know that's how most people like them... The chicken on it was good. Under the chips, the tray (entire tray) had a THICK sheet of oil. Like I could drag my finger through it and where my finger ran would have immediately filled back up with oil. So, super super oily overall. They serve the sour cream, salsa, and "layer" dip was served in a bowl on the side (beans, jalapeƱos, olives and tomatoes) which helps keep it from getting soggy. The Thai peanut wing sauce at first taste was spicy and very interesting. I wasn't sure at first, but it grew on me and I really liked it in the end - and I don't usually do well with spicy. The barbecue sauce was just thick and sweet BBQ sauce, and the buffalo had medium spice and was really tasty. They also let us order a "half order" of fries which were delicious and plentiful. For desert we tried the "Stoutimisu" which was like a HUGE towering price of chocolate cake with layers including oatmeal stout soaked ladyfingers, rich chocolate mouse or ganache, a mild and pleasant layer of espresso soaked cake and chocolate icing with shavings. It's served with dollops of whipped cream, chocolate sauce and some chocolate shavings. Very very rich! It was fantastic and with the $6 price point, it's a great value. Now, if they served it a la mode, that would absolutely send it over the top!!!! Overall, it's a GREAT place to come and everything we tried was good or great. I wish they still had that filet medallion entree, and felt the reviews on "the best nachos" to be very misleading. The beers were of course great and the venue and patio were very cool. Our server, Angie, was amazing as well!!! Another observation I want to point out was what I saw in the bathroom... I've never seen this before but wish I did - they had these things on the bathroom door where you put your foot to open the door so you're hands stay clean and germ free after washing and drying them. Kudos to the restaurant for installing this! If this review was helpful, please let me know by clicking the "useful" button after the review. If you live here, or are visiting (like we were, from NC), give them a try.
