There was an Instagram photo of their Phoenix sign located at their parking lot. Since we only had three hours in Phoenix that we decided to eat lunch at Barrio Cafe.
There was a homeless guy in a wheelchair waiting outside and when I went inside one of the server came out and gave him a gallon of water. That was really nice to see as it was really hot outside.
We were greeted and seated immediately. The staff were really friendly.
The place is very artsy and there were art works from Pablo Luna. You can buy some of his artworks as there were prices.
We were really hungry and the food we ate definitely hit the spot! We live in San Francisco and usually prefer eating authentic Mexican foods in the Mission district. It was really good and reminded me of the tacos I ate when I was in Tijuana.
Overall, I recommend this place and would love to visit again once I come back to Phoenix.
